Moving Day Tips

Make plans for kids and pets on move day. It can be helpful to have an extra adult present to keep an eye on kids and pets, or set them up to be watched elsewhere. The doors will be open frequently and no one wants any kid or pet to run out unnoticed.

When the crew arrives the first thing they will do is walk through your home and ask you questions. Make sure you have decided about which items you want to bring and which are staying behind.

Think through the moving logistics with your move coordinator. Where is the truck going to park? Do you need to block out parking space? Does your building have any moving restrictions?
